Institutions (Schools)

Purpose

An institution is one school or university in the system. Super Admin creates each tenant (e.g. Green Valley, Blue Coast Academy).

Who uses it

Super Admin primarily. Head Officers see assigned institutions only.

Depends on

Nothing — this is usually step one for a new deployment.

Step-by-step — Create a school

• Menu → Institutions → Add New
• Fill example values:

- Name: Green Valley International School

- Code: GVIS

- Type: Secondary

- Email: contact@gvis.edu.ci

- Phone: +225 27 00 00 00 00

- Address: Cocody, Abidjan

• Upload logo (optional) — appears on reports and mobile app login.
• Save.
• Assign a subscription/package so modules are enabled (see Module B7).

Example story

Digitex platform owner adds a new client school "Lycée Moderne de Yamoussoukro" with code LMY and assigns the "Standard Package" subscription.

Almost everything else requires an institution to exist first.

Common questions

Q: Can one person manage two schools?

A: Yes — Head Officer role with multiple institutions assigned, or Super Admin global view.
