AI Access and Where to Find It

Purpose

Digitex AI helps staff draft notices, reminders, report comments, support replies, and quick summaries — inside the module you are already using, without copying data to an external chatbot.

AI is an optional add-on on your subscription plan (Basic / Premium / PRO / Enterprise). If your plan includes AI, you will see:

• Sidebar: AI Assistant (full chat) and AI Studio (writing tools)
• Bottom-left purple button: Quick help about the current page
• Purple “AI” buttons on notices, reminders, results, invoices, students, marks, support, and the dashboard

If you do not see these, your school plan may not include AI — contact your administrator or Digitex support to upgrade.

Who uses it

School Admin, Teachers, Accountants, Head Officers (when plan includes AI). Students and parents typically do not use staff AI tools.

Depends on

• Your subscription package has AI enabled
• Platform administrator configured an AI provider key (OpenAI or compatible API)
• You are logged in with a role that can open the module (e.g. you need notice permissions to draft notices)

Step-by-step — Open the AI Assistant

• Log in at https://e-digitex.com/
• In the left sidebar, open Digitex AI → AI Assistant
• Type a question, e.g. *“How do I bulk generate invoices for Grade 5?”*
• Click New chat anytime to start a fresh conversation

Step-by-step — Use the floating widget (any page)

• Look at the bottom-left corner for the purple magic wand button
• Click it to open a small chat panel
• Ask about this screen, e.g. on the Invoices page: *“What does overdue mean?”*
• Click the external-link icon to open the full AI Assistant

Common questions

Q: AI says “not included in your plan”.

A: Your package needs AI enabled. Super Admin can check Finance → Packages or Plan page for upgrade.

Q: AI gives generic answers.

A: Use the module AI buttons (they send real context like exam marks or invoice totals). For school-specific rules, confirm with your admin.
